No there are only administrators or not administrators. What do you need to do with multiple groups? Perhaps there is another solution?
Hello, I just realized why you are posting to the (open) Pre-Sales section here... I have fixed your license and re-sent it to you. This newer license is for ACP Expert V8, it will not work on older versions. Use the same license in both Scheduler and ACP. If you DO have an older version of ACP and Expert please let me know and I can issue older format licenses so you can do the upgrade. I have also re-opened your access to the Premium sections here. I apologize.
I understand what you want - to be able to organize your users into groups with different priority. In this case, I assume you would also need to hide the priority field on the observing request entry forms? Also, would you want to prevent some people from uploading RTML (complex submissions)? And how many groups? This would require some internal changes to ACP and to the interface between ACP and Scheduler, so it won't be in the upcoming Service Release of ACP. Onc I understand the details, though, I will post a ticket for a future release.
I'm glad your students are doing astronomy in Thailand with our software!! I would like to visit there some day...
we assume that should be 5 users groups
1.admin
2.staff
3.researcher
4.student
5.public
another thing, it's possible to make a preview image (or last-image) each Project's Plan ?
OK there are no groups like this in Scheduler or ACP. I understand what you want but there isn't a way to force priorities for different groups. Are you finding that the observatory is extremely overloaded so you must have these priorities? I don't know of a way to prevent people from changing the priorities of their requests. A system like this would be a vary large undertaking.
I am sorry it is not a feature.
Is'that away such as make a new add-on ?
Because my company plan to use ACP on Planwave CDK700 telescope.
That call Thai robotic telescope network (similar to itelescope system) around the world.
now on
Thailand - Near Earth Object Observatory (and more 3 observatory in thai)
USA California - Sierra Ranges Observatory
China - Yunnan Observatory
Australia - Siding Spring Observatory
and more in the future..
It should be great if we can make it quick by ACP, in the other hand we have to make it by our self if ACP didn't work.
If you plan to use this for large-scale access to astronomy I understand. Please note that I cannot do special programming to make a "portal" web site where people can join the network and set up their accounts, and which would do billing etc. You would need to do that. Are you with a University or other educational institution?
If you would be happy simply setting a different priority for each observer/user, and keeping the groups separately on your portal/sign-up system, then I think it could be done. Basically you could re-use the existing Organization field of the Scheduler's Observer records, and put a priority string into there, then I would help you write a script or .NET program that would run periodically and sweep through all of the Plans in the system and force their priority to the value for that user/observer. Thus, if someone uploaded an RTML request with a priority, sometime soon after the task would force their priority to their value.
The web interface already produces a cleaned up PNG file of each acquired image but it only shows the last one. I think you want something for every image taken. Pre-processed? If so I can show you how, in fact the "Customizing ACP" section of ACP Help shows how to add user code to create monochrome "nice" images from the raw FITS for each image taken. This could be expanded to move the nice image somewhere, maybe to a DropBox or ?Quote:
